Challenge

The e-learning modules are created in Storyline, a program in which to work visually and which generates the code for the user. The communication between the LMS (Learning Management System, in which the user works), LRS (Learning Record Store, in which the module data is stored) and the modules from storyline has been the biggest challenge in setting up this project. Because the application is used by many users at the same time, performance has also been taken into account.

Result

We set up an infrastructure to let the different applications talk to each other. This consists of several virtual machines that each have their own task. The application itself consists of the front end that the user sees (an Angular application) and the back end, where the data is processed (it runs on Symfony).

The application has now been running since September 2018 and receives quarterly updates to expand functionality.
